What Bima does

Bima provides educational tools, AI-powered protection checkups, community features, and connections to licensed insurance advisors. We collect personal information only as needed to provide these services, improve your experience, maintain security, and support compliant advisor handoffs.

Information we collect

The information we may collect includes details you provide through your account, Protection Checkup, advisor or partner forms, community participation, and communications with us. This may include your name, contact information, province, household and lifestyle details, insurance interests, preferred contact method, advisor licensing information, organization information, and any other information you choose to share.

How we use your information

We use this information to help you understand your protection needs, generate educational insights, prepare readiness summaries, connect you with licensed advisors where you consent, respond to inquiries, operate and improve Bima, prevent misuse, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

What Bima is not

Bima does not issue insurance policies and does not provide final insurance advice. Final quotations, applications, underwriting, advice, and policy placement are completed by licensed insurance professionals and regulated insurance carriers.

Sharing your information

We only share your information with licensed advisors, service providers, partners, or other third parties where required to deliver our services, where you have provided consent, or where permitted or required by law. Advisor handoff information is shared only after your consent.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
